Writing the date
When you write the date you must put the day first, month second and last the year.

Shortened Form
25th December 2015 = 25 / 12 / 2015

Saying the date
When you say the date you must use 'the' before the day and ‘of’ before the month.
25th December 2015 = The twenty-fifth of December Two thousand and fifteen
19th March 2013 = The 19th of March Two thousand and thirteen
